Cyber Security Lead needed for a contract to hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Rome, NY.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work as part of a team responsible for all aspects of Cyber Security at DOD Lab.
- Provide proactive leadership, strategic recommendations and innovative solutions
- Understand security needs and oversee development and implementation of procedures
- Identify requirement, reviews policies, write policy guidelines and standards and presents to management for endorsement
- Performs and/or reviews technical security risks/threats assessments of computing environments
- Validates and verifies system security requirements definitions and analysis
- Develop reports as necessary to keep IT Management briefed of information security threats and active attacks, incident response activities and planned equipment or SW changes that could impact system and network performance and availability.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Assurance or equivalent experience
- Seven to ten (7 - 10) years of Systems Administration, Vulnerability Assessment and Vulnerability Remediation experience required
- Advanced Cyber Security experience in a Windows, Linux/UNIX and MAC OS environment
- Understanding of Security Requirements and experience supporting DOD Network Systems
- Experienced with writing and implementing IT Security Policies and Procedures
- Experienced with briefing and communicating directly with Management Decisions Makers.
- Secret clearance a must
- CompTIA Security
or CISSP a must
- Must have advanced experience with Windows OS; preferably Windows 7 or Windows 2008 AD or Red Hat.
